Hi, I'm Amy

I'm a Wellbeing Practitioner, qualified Wellbeing Coach and Mentor, with a degree in Psychology. I support adults, children and young people with their emotional wellbeing, helping them understand themselves better, build confidence and resilience and feel more able to manage life's challenges.

I've always been really interested in people and psychology - why we think, feel and behave the way we do. This is a big part of how I work now: not just looking at what might help, but helping people understand why they might be feeling or responding in a certain way too.

My Experience

Before starting Amy Nolan Wellbeing, I worked as a Wellbeing Practitioner for a large charity providing 1:1 emotional wellbeing support to children and young people up to the age of 25. I worked with a wide range of needs including anxiety, low mood, confidence and self-esteem, emotional regulation, friendships and difficulties around school. I also worked with parents to help them understand what may be going on for their child, as well as schools and other professionals to make sure young people were supported in the different areas of their lives. I have also volunteered as a Young People's Mentor for Mind, providing 1:1 wellbeing support in schools. Since then, I've completed my Advanced Diploma in Wellbeing Coaching, developing my coaching skills and knowledge to support adults with a wide range of wellbeing goals and challenges.

My Approach

My approach is relaxed, friendly and flexible. I get to know the person in front of me and shape sessions around what works for them. Sessions can be a mix of talking things through, understanding the psychology behind how you're feeling and finding practical strategies or steps to move forward. We might use creative activities or visual tools too. Ultimately, I want my sessions to feel like somewhere you can come as you are, talk openly and leave understanding yourself or your situation a little better, with some ideas about what might help next.
